Canada to guarantee passport processing in 30 days or it's free

The federal government is now offering full refunds if it takes longer than 30 business days to process your passport.

Effective April 1, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Minister Lena Metlege Diab said refunds will be automatically issued if the process of receiving completed documentation and printing a passport or travel document takes longer than 30 days. The time it takes to mail the document is not included in the 30 days.
