Labour department targets hotels and restaurants in safety campaign

Cyprus’ labour inspection department will run a special inspection campaign in hotels, restaurants and ready-to-eat food distribution premises from April to October 2026, as authorities step up checks on workplace safety and health. 

In a statement, the department said the campaign will focus on the main causes of work accidents and occupational diseases recorded in those sectors.
