NASA’s Artemis II mission successfully launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Wednesday, marking the start of what could be the first trip humans have made to the moon in 53 years.
Four astronauts—Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen—were launched atop the 32-story, 5.75-million-pound Space Launch System rocket to begin what is projected to be a 10-day journey around the moon and back.
