Driver trapped after vehicle overturns

A driver who had been trapped in his vehicle after it overturned in Athienou was taken to Larnaca hospital shortly after midnight on Wednesday morning.

Emergency crews responded at 12:08 am to a collision on the main road, where the car had fallen into a ditch.

Firefighters worked with the ambulance service to free the driver, who was then transported to hospital for treatment.
