Iranian strike hits chemical plant in southern Israel

An Iranian missile or debris from an intercepted projectile struck a major chemical plant in southern Israel on Sunday, sparking a fire but causing no reported injuries, as the conflict between Iran and Israel continued to widen.

Reuters reported that Israeli pesticides maker ADAMA said its Makhteshim plant in the Ne’ot Hovav industrial zone was hit either directly by an Iranian missile or by debris from an intercepted one. The company said it was still assessing the extent of the damage.
