Houston’s Kelvin Sampson will return to Houston for 2026-27 season

Houston’s season has come to a close in the Sweet 16, but head coach Kelvin Sampson is expected to return next season.

“I’m excited as I’ve ever been to keep coaching,” Sampson told CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.

Kelvin Sampson tells me that he will return as Houston's head coach during the 2026-27 season and will not retire.
