Stars activate F Mikko Rantanen off injured reserve

The Dallas Stars activated forward Mikko Rantanen from injured reserve on Saturday, hours before the team's game against the host Pittsburgh Penguins.

Rantanen has been sidelined since the Olympic break due to the lower-body injury he sustained during the Milan Cortina Games.

The veteran of 11 NHL seasons was injured in Finland's game against Canada on Feb. 20 and did not suit up in the bronze-medal match against Slovakia. He had six points (two goals, four assists) in five games for the Finns.
