Supreme Court slams Haryana Police for trying to dilute POCSO charges

The Supreme Court has criticized Haryana Police for hindering a rape investigation involving a four-year-old girl in Gurugram. The court noted the police registered a lesser offense despite prima facie evidence of aggravated penetrative sexual assault. A special investigation team has been formed to take over the probe.
