Emblematic MeToo trial of Islamic scholar Tariq Ramadan awaits verdict
Tariq Ramadan, a well-known Swiss-Egyptian Islamic scholar, has been tried in absentia for the rape of three women in Paris, with the verdict to fall on March 25. He has already been convicted in Switzerland, where he is currently hospitalised for multiple sclerosis - which his medical team judged made him unable to attend his trial in France. FRANCE 24's Angela Diffley looks at the details of the trial, and who the accused is.
