Earlier Than Expected: Taos Ski Area Sets Final Closing Date

Unfortunately, low snowfall and warm temperatures have claimed another western ski area this season.

Taos announced its early closing date on Monday via social media, citing unseasonably warm temperatures and rapidly changing conditions.

The New Mexico ski area's last day of the 2025/26 season will be Sunday, March 29, 2026. Taos will host an end-of-season celebration at the Base Area Plaza on Saturday, March 28, to celebrate and send off the Winter 2026 season.
