When the announcement came in December 2025 that Girl Guiding would be excluding trans girls, I was not surprised. A similar stance from the Women’s Institute did not shock, either.

I just felt numb.

And now the Girl Guides has confirmed that all transgender girls must leave the organisation by September. I knew the news was inevitable. It’s not like I could imagine anyone changing their mind.
