Cyprus tour guides to protest over sector challenges

The Cyprus Tour Guides Association will stage a protest demonstration outside the Deputy Ministry of Tourism at 11.00 on Friday.

According to an official announcement, the mobilisation has been organised due to growing concerns within the sector.

The association stated that tour guides are focusing on three critical issues affecting the profession, namely illegal guided tours, supervision of archaeological sites, and controls at crossing points.
