Avalanche Catches 25 Skiers, Two Killed In Italy

Two skiers were killed, and 25 total were caught by an avalanche near Mount Tallone Grande in Alto Adige, Italy, on March 21, 2026, according to il Dolomiti.

The avalanche hit multiple groups of ski mountaineers in the backcountry zone. Six helicopters and around 100 rescuers were dispatched to the scene.
