Assam elections: In jolt to BJP, ex-minister is Congress candidate

Assam minister Nandita Garlosa has joined the Congress party. She filed her nomination as a Congress candidate from Haflong. This move comes after Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's efforts to retain her in the BJP. The BJP has fielded Rupali Langthasa from the same seat. Meanwhile, the BJP has nominated Kushal Dowari in Sibsagar.
