Tribal forced to shell out Rs 90k fine, shave head & host feast for inter-caste marriage

A 22-year-old tribal man in Odisha's Koraput district was allegedly forced to pay a Rs 90,000 fine, host a community feast, and have his head publicly shaven after marrying a woman from another tribe. The couple had eloped due to opposition from their respective communities. The traditional settlement ceremony formalized their union after these conditions were met.
