Peterson Ends Spring Training On High Note
In the New York Mets’ final spring training game of 2026, David Peterson threw five strong innings in a 4-3 loss against the Miami Marlins. The 2025 All-Star performed well, allowing just one earned run on five hits and one walk across 76 pitches.
Peterson started the game by retiring six of the first seven hitters in two scoreless innings, before the Marlins tagged him for one run in the third. After opening that inning by giving up back to back singles, Peterson would put Miami on the board with a wild pitch.
