Trump declares pause to Iran war in typo-filled social media post
President Donald Trump announced a five-day pause to his war against Iran in an early morning, all-caps social media post.
The 79-year-old president declared Monday, in a message containing spelling mistakes, at 7:05 a.m. that unspecified representatives from the U.S. and Iran were having constructive conversations after he threatened to attack power stations if Iran did not reopen the Strait of Hormuz to commercial shipping traffic, which has strangled the global fuel supply and rattled global markets.
