Same Battles Over and Over: The 2026 Public Interest Environmental Law Conference

After not attending since 2019, I arrived early for this year’s Public Interest Environmental Law Conference (PIELC) at the University of Oregon Law School. It was the 44th session in the world’s longest such gathering. It ran from March 12th thru the 15th. Given the current political climate, the slogan this year was “Fight Back, Voices for Good.” (First one I attended was in 1986.
