ULFA(I) strikes Assam Police camp before elections

An attack on a commando camp in Tinsukia injured four police personnel. The United Liberation Front of Asom (Independent) claimed responsibility. This incident occurred near the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border. The state is currently in election mode. Security forces have launched a counter-offensive. The outfit stated the attack was a military action against the Assam Police.
