Steven Stamkos scores twice as opportunistic Preds best Golden Knights

Steven Stamkos had two goals and an assist and the host Nashville Predators defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Ryan O'Reilly added a goal and an assist and Tyson Jost also scored for the Predators, who won their third straight. Justus Annunen made 39 saves, 21 in the first period.

Defenseman Shea Theodore got the lone goal for the Golden Knights, who have lost three in a row and have only managed Theodore's goal in those games. Akira Schmid stopped 16 shots.
