Woman, child killed in Kunar in suspected Pakistan strike during ceasefire

A female health worker and her three-year-old child were killed in a reported Pakistani attack in Afghanistan’s Kunar province, local sources said.

The strike took place Thursday morning in the Nari district, where the woman’s husband, one of her sons and their driver were also wounded.

Sources said the victim worked at a health centre in Nuristan’s Kamdesh district and was travelling home to Kunar during the Eid ceasefire period.
