Heavy rainfall expected in Cyprus over next two weeks

Above-normal rainfall is expected in Cyprus over the next two weeks, the climate watch advisory group of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) said on Friday.

The forecast period runs from March 19 to 31.

Weekly precipitation amounts are expected to range between 25 and 75mm, with higher totals possible in exposed areas.

The probability of above-normal rainfall exceeds 90 per cent in the first week and 70-90 per cent in the second.
