Drainage improvement efforts continue in Opelousas

St. Landry Parish is advancing several major drainage projects, including a $5 million retention pond in Opelousas and a water movement project in Eunice that is now 50% complete. Parish President Jessie Bellard said the infrastructure improvements are essential to protect local roads and residential property from flooding.
