Sparkling water reduced cognitive fatigue in esports players, study finds

Fourteen gamers played three hours of virtual soccer while drinking either plain or sparkling water. The sparkling water group stayed mentally sharp, committing significantly fewer fouls in-game, possibly because their impulse control stayed intact while the flat-water players got sloppy.
