Govt issues SOP on heat mitigation

In response to rising temperatures and erratic weather, Odisha's housing and urban development department has issued a comprehensive standard operating procedure. This directive mandates urban local bodies to implement heat-mitigation and drinking water-supply measures, ensuring uninterrupted potable water access and establishing 24x7 control rooms to monitor heatwave warnings and public complaints.
