Police officer arrested and suspended over attack on speed camera driver

 A 44-year-old police constable was arrested under a court warrant on Tuesday and taken into custody to facilitate investigations into an assault on a mobile speed camera driver on the Paphos–Limassol highway on March 12.

Police-chief, Themistos Arnaoutis, suspended the officer from duty pending the outcome of the inquiry.

Another 37-year-old individual previously arrested in connection with the same incident also remains in custody.

Police assure that the investigation remains ongoing.
