Kela moves benefit payments earlier for Easter, extends English phone hours

Finland’s social insurance institution Kela will change benefit payment schedules and customer service hours during the Easter holidays while also expanding its English-language phone service as demand continues to rise.

The changes affect unemployment benefit payments, social assistance applications and the opening hours of service channels during early April.

Kela said unemployment status reports must be submitted earlier than usual because of the holiday period.
