M Chinnaswamy Stadium gets Karnataka govt nod for hosting IPL 2026 matches

Bengaluru will host the 2026 Indian Premier League matches at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The Karnataka government has given formal approval. Royal Challengers Bengaluru will play their opening match here. The stadium will also host the RCB Unboxing event and the tournament's opening ceremony. RCB will play seven home matches, with five in Bengaluru and two in Raipur.
