Car bomb explodes in Limassol

A bomb exploded in a parked vehicle in the Ayios Spyridonas area of Limassol in the early hours of Monday, causing a fire and damaging a second nearby vehicle.

According to the police, the incident occurred at around 4.20am when an explosive device detonated in the car of a 45-year-old woman, damaging both the vehicle in question and a second car, owned by the woman.

The police and the fire brigade were called in. Inspections of the scene revealed that a bomb had been placed under the woman’s vehicle.
