Michael B. Jordan Wins Best Actor for 'Sinners' at Oscars 2026, Thanks All 6 Previous Black Winners for Lead Acting

Michael B. Jordan is officially an Oscar winner!

The 39-year-old actor won the award for Best Actor at the 2026 Academy Awards on Sunday (March 15) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

Michael won for his dual roles as Elijah “Smoke” Moore and Elias “Stack” Moore in the movie Sinners, which has won three other awards this evening as well.

Also nominated in the category were Marty Supreme‘s Timothee Chalamet, One Battle After Another‘s Leonardo DiCaprio, Blue Moon‘s Ethan Hawke, and The Secret Agent‘s Wagner Moura.
