Oscars Spoils Major 'One Battle After Another' Death with Conan O’Brien's Closing Skit

The 2026 Oscars ceremony ended with a closing skit that completely spoiled a major death scene from the Best Picture winner One Battle After Another.

The skit featured host Conan O’Brien being told that he did such a good job hosting that the Academy wants him to be “host for life.”

Conan is brought into his new office and sits at his desk as the door is closed to give him privacy. Gas begins to come out of the vent and the skit cuts to him being rolled out of the office in the desk chair, clearly dead.
