Court rejects ED’s money laundering case against Rathi Steel

A special court made a unique decision, refusing to proceed with an Enforcement Directorate money laundering case. This happened even though the accused were already convicted in the original offence. The court found no direct financial gain from the coal allocation. It also stated that not every transaction after an offence is proceeds of crime.
