Four arrested in nationwide police operation

Four people were arrested during nationwide policing operations carried out on Saturday night, the police said.

Arrests were made for offences including illegal stay in the Republic and illegal employment.

The operations also included extensive traffic checks, during which 11 vehicles were impounded.

Two drivers tested positive in preliminary roadside checks for driving under the influence of drugs, while ten others were found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.
