Sarah Michelle Gellar Reveals 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' Revival Series is Not Moving Forward at Hulu

Devastating news for Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans.

On Saturday (March 14), Sarah Michelle Gellar took to her Instagram to announced that the spinoff series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: New Sunnydale, is not moving forward at Hulu.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer began as a 1992 film written by Joss Whedon before debuting as a TV series starring Sarah, now 48, in 1997. The story was set to continue with a new chapter in the Buffyverse, written by Nora and Lila Zuckerman and directed by Oscar winner Chloé Zhao.
