Poll shows Greek Cypriots remain sceptical of Erhurman

A Noverna Analytics poll conducted on behalf of the newspaper Politis on Saturday revealed that Greek Cypriot attitudes towards the new Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhurman remain largely negative.

Overall, 41 per cent expressed unfavourable views, 26 per cent were neutral, and only 17 per cent held a positive opinion, while 16 per cent did not respond.

“Despite the change of leadership in the Turkish Cypriot community, a strong climate of trust has not yet been created on the Greek Cypriot side,” the survey concluded.
