Top court to clarify law on sanctions under Lokpal act

The Supreme Court has issued a notice to Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra. This follows a plea by the Lokpal of India challenging a Delhi High Court ruling. The High Court had stated that separate sanctions for charge sheets and prosecution are not required under the Lokpal Act. The Supreme Court will now comprehensively examine the Lokpal's powers.
