Second suspect arrested for Ayia Napa knife-point mugging

The police arrested an 18-year-old on Friday afternoon in connection with Wednesday’s mugging of a 20-year-old man in the Famagusta district.

On Thursday, a 17-year-old had been arrested for the same case and handed a seven-day remand order on Friday morning by the Famagusta district court to facilitate investigations.

The 20-year-old had reported that at 6.30pm on Wednesday, while in Ayia Napa, two people approached him and mugged him at knife point, stealing his wallet.
