Obuasi East Records Improvement in Maternal Mortality

The Obuasi East Municipal Health Directorate has recorded notable progress in maternal healthcare, with a reduction in maternal deaths over the past year. Speaking during the 2025 Annual Performance Review, the Municipal Director of Health Services, Charity Afrifaa-Adjei, disclosed that maternal mortality in the municipality declined from seven deaths in 2024 to five in 2025.
