Local Government Minister Ben Phiri urges DCs to take proactive control of service delivery in their councils  

District Commissioners in the country have been urged to take proactive control of service delivery in their councils to ensure timely and effective services.

This follows Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Dr. Ben Malunga Phiri’s directive to visit institutions under their jurisdiction.

Dr. Phiri emphasized that some councils are failing to provide efficient services because DCs aren’t exercising oversight.
