Google completes $32-billion acquisition of cloud security startup Wiz

Google announced the all-cash deal in 2025, as it seeks to strengthen its cloud computing business in the AI era. It is the largest ever transaction sought by Google or its parent Alphabet. As part of the deal, Wiz will operate as a distinct product line within Google Cloud and retain its brand, while its technology will be integrated more deeply across Google’s security and AI offerings.
