More details on Jesús Luzardo’s contract extension

The Phillies on Tuesday made Jesús Luzardo’s five-year contract extension official.
The deal is for five years and worth a reported $135 million, per NBC Sports Philadelphia‘s Jim Salisbury. He will make $27 million per season from 2027 to 2031. Luzardo will make $11 million in 2026, his final season of arbitration eligibility. Luzardo was scheduled to become a free agent after the 2026 season.
