India rejigs gas allocation; LPG, CNG, piped cooking gas get top priority

Amidst West Asia conflict disruptions to imported gas, India has revised domestic gas allocation priorities. LPG, CNG, and piped cooking gas now top the list, ensuring household needs are met first. Fertiliser plants receive 70%, while tea, manufacturing, and industrial consumers get 80% of past demand. This move aims to secure essential supplies by curtailing petrochemical and power sectors.
