Amazon calls on regulator FCC to reject rival SpaceX’s ‘million satellite’ space data centre plan

Amazon’s satellite arm, Amazon Leo, has urged the FCC to reject SpaceX’s plan for up to one million orbiting data-centre satellites. In a filing, it calls the proposal unrealistic, lacking technical, safety, and disposal details, and warns it could take centuries to deploy, create space debris, and disrupt other operators.
