Electric heater blamed for fire at home in Cavell Crescent, Dartford

An urgent safety warning has been issued after a blaze broke out in a bedroom last night, thought to be caused by a faulty heater.

The fire at a house in Cavell Crescent, Dartford, was reported just after 9pm.

Fire crews were sent to Cavell Crescent in Dartford

Two fire engines attended and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames. Electric fans were then used to clear the smoke.

There were no reported injuries. The cause is believed to have been a faulty electric heater.
