Iran will never surrender, president says as war enters second week
Masoud Pezeshkian, Iran’s president, said his country will never surrender to the United States or Israel and will defend its independence and territorial integrity until the end.
In a speech on Saturday, Pezeshkian said Iran’s recent missile and drone attacks in the Gulf were carried out in response to what he described as large-scale aggression.
He also apologized to neighboring countries affected by the strikes, saying Iran does not intend to target them unless their territory is used for attacks against Iran.
