Winter Storm Warnings Announced for 9 States as 15 Inches of Snow, Strong Winds Emerge

Saturday, March 7, marks the first full weekend of the month of March, but while the first day of spring is just weeks away, the National Weather Service (NWS) continues to issue winter weather warnings for regions of the country.

While the first days of the metrological spring are already here, the NWS has issued winter storm warnings and watches for parts of the Midwest and Northeast, and weather experts warn that winter has one last blast of snow and cold left before the flowers start to grow.
