UK’s Wildcat helicopters arrive at RAF Akrotiri

Two British AW159 Wildcat helicopters with anti-drone capabilities have arrived at RAF Akrotiri on Friday, reinforcing the island’s defences following an Iranian-made drone strike earlier this week.

Defence secretary John Healey had earlier said the helicopters will be integrated into the island’s air defence system alongside allied assets.

“These top experts are here to help coordinate the air defences, not just what the UK is doing, but alongside the United States and other allies,” he said.
