Karnataka budget 2026: Mysuru to be developed as Karnataka's second IT hub

Siddaramaiah announced plans to develop Mysuru as the state’s second IT city to ease pressure on Bengaluru. The budget also proposes AI labs, centres of excellence, robotics and genome research initiatives, expansion of global capability centres, and a new science city to strengthen Karnataka’s technology and innovation ecosystem.
