Manchester United defender Harry Maguire handed suspended prison sentence

March 3 – Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has been handed a 15-month suspended prison sentence by a Greek Court following a well-publicised incident in Mykonos in August 2020.

Initially, the England international received a suspended prison sentence of 21 months and 10 days after being found guilty of repeated bodily harm, attempted bribery, violence against public employees, and insult.

His legal team immediately appealed, which under Greek law nullified the original conviction and triggered a full retrial.
