5 Freeway north of LA under a high wind warning until Thursday morning — gusts may reach 65 mph

5 Freeway corridor near Santa Clarita, Santa Barbara County Interior Mountains, Southern Ventura County Mountains and Northern Ventura County Mountains are included in a high wind warning released by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 12:07 a.m. The warning is valid from 4 p.m. until Thursday March 5, at 7 a.m.

According to the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA, “North winds 30 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph possible.”

“Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible.
